Exception for scheduled carriage of goods

A contract for the carriage of goods that provides for performance on a specific date or within a specific period is generally excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal under section 312g(2)(9) BGB. Your statutory rights in the event of defective or late performance remain unaffected.

Right of withdrawal in other cases

Where the statutory exception does not apply and the contract was concluded at a distance, consumers may withdraw their contractual declaration within 14 days without giving reasons. The period begins when the contract is concluded. Effects of withdrawal

Where withdrawal is effective, payments received are refunded no later than 14 days after receipt of the withdrawal notice using the same means of payment unless otherwise agreed. If the consumer expressly requested that the service begin during the withdrawal period, a reasonable amount is payable for the service supplied before withdrawal. Where the service has been fully performed at the consumer’s express request and the consumer was properly informed about the loss of the right, the right of withdrawal may expire.
